Love
When you hear that word, what comes to mind?
Just a four letter word; yet the power which a word has.
Love is the very essence of who we are. The very design of our being.
We were created in His image; Love.
As we go through the word of God; so much Love is seen.
Why do you suppose creation took place?
Love.
God created the earth and mankind; with a loving desire to establish a relationship with us.
The Father wanted a relationship with us, whom he Loves.
We are the Love of God; His first Love.
Throughout the Old testament we see God wanting a relationship. Desiring to have a relationship based on Love.
Throughout time we have see this relationship begin, we have struggle, and due to man’s free will and our freedom of choice; the one thing God desire fails for some.
Yet we see the Father’s continually pursuit to have a relationship with us.
When you read about tough times in the Bible; do you understand the Father’s Love?
As you learn of the prophecy of what would take place; do you see how the Father’s Love is present?
As we took place in the trial of Jesus
When we learned of the fate of the Son of God; again we see the abundance of His Love for us.
As we watched the nails placed in His hands and feet to hold Him on a cross; once again Love is evident.
We saw His head drop and the last breath leave.
His side pierced and the body of our Lord taken down and placed in a tomb. Through all circumstances; despite the sadness.
We still felt His Love.
Jesus was crucified so that everyone; not only God’s chosen people, but everyone who desired a relationship with Him.
Our Access to the Father’s Love was established and through it we see, not only the Father’s Love, we understand unconditional Love.
Three days, He rose, victory over death, and all prophecy and scripture fulfilled.
And all because God first Loved us.
Love
So with this understanding of love; what one apparent difference can you see between God’s love and the humanistic love?
Remember God’s love is unconditional.
So why is it we need affirmation; why do we need confirmation of our love towards one another?
We all should know what the greatest commandment is.
– Matthew 22:37-39
37 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
38 This is the greatest and most important command.
39 The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.
Have you ever thought about God’s love?
God says “I love you” and does not have hear us say it back.
God does not say I love you, do you love me, do you, do you?
Our loving Him does not change the way He feels about us.
He loves us no matter what.
He may not agree with the choices we make or the lifestyle we are living.
However the Father loves us.
He cares for us and desire a relationship with us.
In order to love God, He must be His Everything as He is our everything.
Our lives need to be His, our thoughts are Him, and our actions reflect Him.
But,
you say….
But I’m scared, I am worried I’ll stand out, I’m concerned I’ll be persecuted and not accepted.
We have fear which our enemy feeds on and attempts to put a wedge in our relationship with the Holy Father.
Don’t be discouraged
– 1 John 4:18-19
There is no fear in love; instead, perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. So the one who fears has not reached perfection in love. We love because He first loved us.
Understanding Love; we are given knowledge which assures us God is in control.
To quote/re-word some lyrics from a popular song by Kristian Stanfill:
One Thing Remains
His love never fails, His love never gives up
His never runs out on me.
His love never fails, His never gives up
His love never runs out on me.
His love never fails, His love never gives up
His love never runs out on me.
His love
On and on and on and on His love goes
Yes His love overwhelms and satisfies my soul.
And I never, ever, have to be afraid (No fear)
‘Cause this one thing remains.
His love never fails, His love never gives up
His love never runs out on me.
His love never fails, His love never gives up
His love never runs out on me.
His love never fails, His love never gives up
His love never runs out on me.
His love.
God’s love, true love, unconditional, and perfect.
Now hopefully we have an understanding of Love; perfectly.
Praise God!!!
In Christ,
