Many of us know these lines from a Dr. Seuss classic:
~ It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled ’till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.
I will concur with the fact:
Christmas does indeed mean so much more, a great deal more.
What I found interesting is that much of the world knows this story
and for whatever the reason, they neglect the real glory.
A stable years ago; the greatest gift did lay,
A gift for us all was placed in the hay.
A simple manger; on a quiet starlit night.
The Christ child was born to his parent’s delight.
The savior of the world; the price He would pay.
Born to save creation; which had slowly lost their way.
We were created by God, with purpose and reason.
Each of us to share joy for this glorious season.
Now, knowing Jesus we press onward in Joy;
All filled with hope from this blessed boy.
The Christ child came to enlighten us all.
Preparing our hearts, our minds, and our soul.
Though my look at a Seuss rhyme now comes to an halt.
My reason to love Jesus; I will forever exalt.
